As the School Counselor at Great Brook School, I provide students in grades 5-8 with personal, social and educational counseling, both individually and in groups. I assist students as they evaluate their abilities, interests, talents, and personalities to develop academic goals, and help them to understand and deal with social, behavioral, and personal issues. The Great Brook school counseling approach emphasizes preventive and developmental initiatives to enhance students’ growth and to provide them with the skills needed to deal with and resolve problems. I consult and collaborate with parents, teachers, and school administrators to develop and implement strategies to help students succeed.
